Tuition & Policies

Get to the Pointe Dance Centre Policies

Tuition

  • Tuition for the dance season is an ANNUAL FEE charged monthly, August-May. This fee is the same regardless of the number of instructional weeks in a month. Refunds are not given for unattended classes. Tuition is due unless you have officially notified us of withdrawal. 

  • The following are nonrefundable: Registration Fee, First Month’s Tuition Payment, Costume Fee (once the order has been placed), and ordered merchandise.

    • 1 Class per Week: $65 Monthly       2 Classes per Week: $120 Monthly

    • 3 Classes per Wee: $165 Monthly    4+ Classes per Week: $200 Monthly

  • Sibling Discount: Classes will be added together for the combined tuition rate. There will be a $12 per class fee over the four class maximum. The cash discount will not apply on top of the sibling discount.

  • Tuition is due by the 1st of each month. Any account unpaid after the 10th of the month incurs a $10 late fee. There will be a $20 fee for checks returned due to insufficient funds. 

 

Payment Options

  • Check: Drop it off at the front desk (black tuition box) or mail it to us. Please place your child's name and the tuition month on the check.

  • Cash: There will be a $5 discount each month for cash payments. Place cash payment in an envelope with child's name and tuition month in the black tuition box. If you need change or a receipt, ask the front desk staff.

  • If you would like to prepay for the full year (10 months), you will receive 1 month free. This special is non-refundable if you decide to discontinue before the end of the year.

 

Studio Policies

  • Students may be dropped off at the front entrance (age appropriate) or walked inside by an adult. Please follow the arrows while driving through the parking lot and drop-off area. No parking allowed in the drive-thru.

  • Please arrive promptly for your scheduled class. Parents must be present at the time class is over to pick up their child. Please remember that the GTTP staff cannot be responsible for your child before or after their class. The instructors have another class starting immediately. For your child’s safety, no child will be allowed to wait outside of the studio.

  • GTTP is not be responsible for any personal items brought to the studio. We recommend that all valuables are left at home. Cell phones must be turned off and in bag during class.

Release of Liability

  • As the legal parent or guardian, I release and hold harmless Get to the Pointe Dance Centre, its owners and operators from any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action whatsoever, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by the participant and/or the undersigned, while in or upon the premises or any premises under the control and supervision of Get to the Pointe Dance Centre, its owners and operators or in route to or from any of said premises.

 

Calendar

  • We are OPEN for all Pickens County virtual, professional learning, and voting days, as well as Labor Day and Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. We will be CLOSED for all Pickens County week-long school holidays in October, November, December, February, and April. 

  • The FIRST day of classes is Monday, August 11th. Please refer to the studio calendar on our website www.gettothepointedance.com for other important studio dates.

 

Winter Recital

  • Our Winter Recital is on Saturday, December 13th. Participation is encouraged, but not mandatory.

  • 2nd Grade and Up: Dancers will not learn their dances in their regular class. All rehearsals will be on extra rehearsal days. More information will be provided in August.

  • Creative Movement, PreK Ballet, K/1st Combo Classes will learn their dances in their regular scheduled class. These dancers will have no extra rehearsals.

  • More information regarding fees and rehearsals will be provided in August. The Winter Recital fees will be due by September 18th.

Spring Recital

  • Our Spring Recital is on Saturday, May 16th. Participation is encouraged, but not mandatory. All dancers will learn their dances in their regular scheduled classes.

  • Spring Recital fees are per dancer. Cash and/or sibling discounts do not apply. 

  • The Recital Fee includes costume, (2) parent tickets, and facility fees.

  • Spring Recital Fees are due by November 13th.

  • All recital fees received after November 13th will be assessed a $20 fee. This fee will cover additional shipping and handling fees.

  • If costume companies raise their fees due to tariffs, these fees may increase.

Winter and Spring Recital - Creative Movement and PreK Ballet

  • $100 per dancer. 

  • If your CM/PreK dancer takes more than one class per week, they will only perform in one of their classes. 

Winter and Spring Recital Fees – Dancers Kindergarten and Up

  • 1 Class per Week: $120     

  • 2 Classes per Week: $210     

  • 3 Classes per Week: $300

Dress Code

  • Creative Movement & Pre-K Ballet: Leotard (any color), Tutu/Skirt/Dress, Pink Tights, and Pink Ballet Shoes.

  • Combo: Leotard (any color) and Pink or Tan Tights. Ballet: Students must wear pink ballet shoes and have the option of a skirt. Jazz: Students must wear tan jazz shoes and jazz shorts. Tap: Students must wear black tap shoes and jazz shorts.

  • Ballet: Leotard (any color), Pink Tights, and Pink Ballet Shoes. Students have the option of wearing a ballet skirt.

  • Lyrical: Leotard (any color) and Tan Tights. Students have the option of wearing a skirt or jazz shorts. Students have the option of wearing lyrical shoes or going barefoot.

  • Jazz, Tap, and Hip Hop: Leotard (any color), Jazz Shorts, and Tan Tights.

    • Jazz: Jazz Shoes must be worn. Jazz shoes should be laceless, tan, and split-sole.

    • Tap: Black tap shoes must be worn.

    • Hip Hop: Black hip hop shoes must be worn. We do require purchasing these shoes from our store.

  • All dancer’s hair should be in a bun or secure ponytail

  • Please write your child’s name on all dance shoes. To keep them in good condition, they should not be worn outside.

  • All dancers need to provide their own water bottle for class.
