GTTP STAFF

Get to the Pointe Dance Centre is blessed with an amazing group of instructors. Our number one mission at GTTP is to share our love and passion for dance with each and every student. We strive to make our dancers feel loved, accomplished, and inspired each time they walk into our studio. Whether dancing just for the fun of it, or training with a career of dance in mind, we do our best to help all of our students reach their goals and their full potential.

Lauren Sewell Bail

Lauren has been teaching dance since 2001.  Prior to becoming an instructor, Lauren studied dance at Academy of Dance Arts for fifteen years and as well as Kennesaw State University where she received her BS in Early Childhood Education and a minor in dance.  A native of Jasper, GA, Lauren is the dance instructor at Pickens High School. In her time at PHS, she has served as the dance team and majorette coach.  Lauren has trained in many areas of dance including ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, and hip-hop.  Lauren's performance  experience includes eight years as a member of the Academy of Dance Arts performing company, Glenda the Good Witch in The Wizard of Oz, Mother/Queen in Swan Lake, Step-Sister in Cinderella, Arabian and the Soldier Doll in the Nutcracker, and performed with the Georgia Dance Stars.

Beginning at age three, Carla has had extensive training in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, and modern dance.  She studied at The Academy of Dance Arts, The Atlanta Ballet Pre-Professional Division, and with The Atlanta Jazz Theatre's Professional Ensemble.  Carla's performances include:  The Atlanta Ballet's Nutcracker, the 1996 Olympic Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Georgia Dance Stars, Tarzan Rocks and Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade at Disney's Animal Kingdom, and Fantasmic at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Carla was pleased to receive recognition in Who's Who in Dance and has been nominated for Partners in Excellence at Walt Disney World.  Locally, she is excited to have choreographed routines for the PHS Dance Line, Chorus, and Drama Club. Carla was employed with Walt Disney World Entertainment as a Show Quality Specialist.  Carla taught and maintained parade/show choreography as well as conducted auditions and performance workshops. Carla is thrilled to be back in the area and feels blessed to have the opportunity to share her passion for dance with the community.
